Middle School Math Teacher (Immediate Opening – December 1, 2025)
About the Role
Saint Raphael Catholic School seeks a licensed, experienced middle school math teacher to join our faculty beginning December 1, 2025. This position fills a critical need in our highest-level middle school math courses. The successful candidate will bring both expertise and enthusiasm, guiding students to achieve their fullest potential in a challenging academic environment. This is a part-time role (25 hours per week).
While this position begins as a mid-year appointment, there is the possibility of extending into a permanent role for the 2025–2026 school year based on mutual fit and school needs.
Key Responsibilities
Teach advanced middle school math courses with rigor and clarity.
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that challenge students and foster problem-solving skills.
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student learning and growth.
Model the mission and philosophy of Saint Raphael Catholic School, serving as a role model in faith and academics.
Fulfill professional duties such as lesson planning, assessment, communication, and participation in faculty committees.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education or Mathematics (Master’s preferred).
Valid North Carolina teaching license in mathematics
3+ years of teaching experience, ideally at the middle or secondary level with advanced math coursework
Demonstrated ability to teach high-level math concepts clearly and effectively
Practicing Catholic preferred
Employment contingent upon passing a full background check.
